Can Can Dates.
I always wonder how Teacup and I would get through our lives without a regular outing to The Can Can for a performance by The Can Can Castaways. Without these dates, we may otherwise just die right where we're standing. Let's be cute and continue our regular dates in a room of red. <3
a tiny gift from butter home, seattle.
My wonderful Bee Eff Eee gave me a tiny gift for no reason at all: Recipe Dice in a glass jar from an adorable store she stumbled upon after dining at Sitka & Spruce. Butter Home is my next destination. Cute is everywhere. They even have an online store, too.

Asparagus Recipe.
1 bunch of asparagus (mine had about 30 spears)
2 egg whites
1/4 cup flour (I used whole wheat pastry flour)
1 cup seasoned panko breadcrumbs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lay a wire rack on a baking sheet and coat with non-stick spray.
Snap off the tough ends of each asparagus spear. On two separate plates, add the eggs whites (lightly beaten) and the panko + flour + cheese. Season the panko mixture with salt and pepper if desires. Coat each asparagus spear in egg whites, then lay in the panko mixture and thoroughly cover. If the panko won’t stick, dip back in the egg whites and roll in panko once again. Lay each spear on the wire rack.
Bake at 425 for 15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

BFEmooncation/ Lara's Birthday
Hello!
I am super responsible and blogging about this NOW before I am swallowed up by finals and end-of-quarter projects. Yay me!
This last weekend, LAK and I spent a lovely two days indulging our whimsy. And yes, just one whimsy for the both of us, as they are always the same. ;)
Our journey began on Saturday::
~Haircuts with Shoko at the Kathy Evans Beauty Studio in Kirkland
~Delicious Greek foodstuffs for lunch at Santorini Greek Grill in downtown Kirkland by the salon
~To Pierced Hearts in Seattle to get our very-matchey-very-cute-long-awaited Monroe piercings!
~Check in to the Shafer Baillie Mansion Bed & Breakfast, 3 blocks up from my tiny Capitol Hill home
~Play around in many white feather boas
~Walk to Sitka & Spruce (well, walk half way and then catch a cab) for an AWESOME dinner at my fave resto
~Walk downtown and kill some time by shopping and reading books on the floor
~Cab-it again (it was raining and we were way too cute to walk) to The Can Can, where we watch Show Pony and love every minute (of the show, anyway... @you crazy drink-spilling girl)
~Go "home" to our lovely mansion and sleep!
We proceed on to Sunday, in which we wake up at ELEVEN O'CLOCK (vath?!), meander downstairs and enjoy a leisurely breakfast prepared for us by our Georgian (state not country) host and keeper of the Shafer Baillie. We read the paper and sat at opposite ends of the VERY long table. Yes, of course. For the rest of the day, we::
~Head back downtown for some more shopping (can't get enough!)
~Visit the lovely Portage in Queen Anne for dinner (my first time!)
~Invest ourselves in a Very Rigerous Search for tittie-tassles (unsuccessful, but we are not to be deterred)
~Paint our toe nails and luxuriate some more around our temporary home
I had to go to class the next day at the dreadful hour of 7ish AM, but the birthday girl got to spend the day with her lovely husband, exploring more of the city, shopping (told ya!), eating at the Honey Hole, and other adventures of similar consistency.
All in all, a wonderful weekend. Let's do this every weekend. Plan? <3<3
My new love.
Bee Eff Ee,
Please experience this wonder of all wonders and to reiterate why we need to open a paper store when we become old and wrinkled.
Please tell me you feel the same way. Take a peek.

Ewe there, birthday girl!
Best birthday card ever from my Bee Eff Ee, wouldn't you agree? Je l'adore.
This card is by Wiley Valentine, and is surely getting framed.
I've decided to purchase each and every card that makes me think of my bee eff ee then writing her endless letters written on cute.

Fridays and Flowers II.

Fridays and Flowers.
Today is Friday, the long-awaited day before the weekend. It's surprising how wearing something nearly hidden from sight, when it has a touch of cuteness, such as these flower socks from Free People, can really put a smile on one's face. So today, I kick off my shoes and smile at my feet.

Letters to the Editor
At long last, I am posting about the most wonderful surprise I received in my mailbox the other day. I had sent out Happy Spring cards not too long ago, one of which went, of course, to my BFE, the one and only Lara Amanzio Kropp. In return, I received a tiny letter full of cute. This is as one might expect from a BFE of the caliber of mine. Some photos for your enjoyment.
Yes, please, let's play always. <3
Sorry for the terrible quality of the pictures. One day I will get better about that!

Bed Date
Tonight we have finally made the time to indulge in a BFE bed date/party. A bed date is the best way to spend time with your meilleures amies while you are on a much needed money diet. Location: Lara's bed. Invitees: BFEs and of course, Pay-Pay. Luckily, we are the cutest BFEs in the world. We're all set, with mimosas, Scrubs and homework that we will pretend to do with all our hearts. For your viewing pleasure, some photographs.

Handmade Finds from Etsy.
I was given the cutest iPad bag a girl could ask for from my fabulous best friend and co-blogger. I had to know where she got it, considering it was so unique! Etsy, of course!
The pouch, designed and made by Sakizome, is quilted and padded with velcro closure. With the flower wreaths and woodland creatures, is my new most favorite thing. Plus a great reminder of what amazing, one-of-a-kind finds there are on Etsy!

Baking dates.
Considering our brilliant idea to start cooking all sorts of fanciful tiny things, before we can begin, cleary we need receipe cards filed neatly inside a recipe box. Wiley Valentine makes some delicious recipe cards worthy of our ownership and a vintage inspired recipe box, like this one shown by Madison Belle is a must.
Old books as focal pieces.
Old books are easy to find, inexpensive and make unique additions to any bookshelf adding color and texture.
